The shopping centre for the Yugo-Vostok residential area is designed for the daily flow of local shoppers. The design was developed by the company's in-house design department, and construction is carried out with our own workforce and equipment.
Key solutions
- precast and cast-in-place frame on a 9 × 12 m column grid for flexible subdivision of lettable space;
- anchor grocery tenant on the ground floor, a retail gallery and food court on the first floor;
- rooflights above the atrium and an escalator bank;
- open car park for 280 vehicles and a covered loading ramp;
- smoke extraction, sprinkler fire protection and building services monitoring and control.
Climate
To cope with Karaganda's winds and frosts down to −35 °C, the entrances are fitted with vestibules and air curtains, and the roof has an electric trace-heating system for the downpipes.
Current stage
Substructure works are complete, and erection of the ground-floor columns and beams has begun.
