Why you should not skip the design
Without a design, a crew builds "from experience" and decisions are made on the spot. That is exactly where cracked walls, cold corners, awkward staircases and wasted materials come from. A design with structural calculations and an estimate lets you see the cost of the house in advance, compare material options and check the builders' work against the drawings. It is also required to obtain permits and utility connections.
The finished design is yours to keep: you can build the house with us or with another contractor. But if we carry out the construction, the designer supports the project and answers the crew's questions, and changes are made quickly without unnecessary approvals.
