For a logistics operator, we designed a hub on the southern transport corridor — with an ambient warehouse, a cold storage zone and a temporary storage customs warehouse.
Design sections
- site master plan with turning areas for road trains and a railway siding;
- architectural and structural solutions: steel frame for seismic magnitude 8, 24 m spans;
- heating, ventilation, refrigeration, water supply and drainage;
- power supply, automatic fire suppression and low-voltage systems;
- construction management plan and cost estimate documentation.
Outcome
- positive opinion from the comprehensive independent state expert review on first submission;
- 11 % reduction in the frame's steel tonnage compared with the concept design;
- estimated cost agreed with the client and the bank for project financing.
The design was handed over to the client as a BIM model for future facility management.
