A solar collector heats water using the sun's energy. It significantly reduces hot water costs and supports the heating system in spring and autumn. Unlike solar panels, a collector produces heat rather than electricity, and does so with high efficiency. Techno-Module selects and installs solar collectors for private houses, hotels, holiday resorts, sports and industrial facilities.
Applications
- Hot water supply for a private house or cottage.
- Heating support, including underfloor heating.
- Swimming pool water heating.
- Domestic hot water for hotels, sanatoriums, dormitories and worker camps.
- Process water heating in industry.
What the work includes
- Calculation of hot water demand and heat load.
- Choice of collector type: evacuated tube or flat plate.
- Selection of the storage tank, pump station and controller.
- Installation on the roof or a separate structure.
- Integration with an existing boiler or heat pump.
Stages
- Site visit and assessment of the installation location.
- System sizing and cost estimate.
- Equipment supply and installation.
- Filling with heat transfer fluid, commissioning, controller set-up.
- Handover training and warranty service.
The result
- Free energy for water heating on sunny days.
- Less load on the boiler and a longer service life.
- A system designed for the climate of your region.
For regions with frosty winters we usually recommend evacuated tube collectors. They keep working at low temperatures and make efficient use of diffuse light on cloudy days. Antifreeze heat transfer fluid and overheating protection in summer allow the system to run all year round without seasonal draining.
Collectors work well alongside a heat pump and a gas or solid-fuel boiler. The controller automatically chooses which heat source to use at any given moment. In summer the sun covers almost all hot water demand, so the main boiler can be switched off, extending its service life.
